Well I was finally starting to tame the Pro today. For some reason I just haven't been able to get the AR7200bx and Dfc head to play nice on my Pro v1.

I just recently installed the v3 tail upgrade but haven't paid it much mind because of the tuning I've been trying to do with the 7200bx. So today the tail let loose. I finally hit throttle hold after fighting it(mistake). But all the fighting and I believe the not totally ironed out 7200bx got it inverted. I actually had the presence of mind to auto it in that way and came out very lucky. Plopped into some fluffy grass in the outfield!

No stripped servos or bent grips. Just a bent spindle, and soiled drawers!

I do have to say the little threaded tube that goes on the tail shaft seemed like the threads were cut a little small. I cleaned the yoke and tube real good before locktiting it. I think I'll try a new tube just in case.

No, it works great and really tightens up the slop in the tail.

It's just the tube that screws into the yoke came loose. During assembly it felt like the threads were cut a schosh too small. I'll have to see if replacement tube feels the same. I did locktite it but at this point I'm not sure why it became loose.

I might use green locktite.

The pitch slider worked great for me. I have the same set up with slant gears and it is so sweet. I use green locktight on the grub screw and the bolts holding on the grips. I have also just added it to the tail housing to boom to prevent twisting and all is good.

I have a 3D heli, I don't understand why it doesn't do 3D

I've decided to use the green. It worked great before it came apart.
Also, I think the bottle locktite I have went skunky.

I bought the slant gears too. I'm still burning off my supply of straight gears before I use them

Do you have trouble removing bolts with the green stuff?

I will send you my strait gears if you want make the switch. The slant sound so much better. 3500 HS just screamed with the strait gears. I have not had a problem with the green. I do use it a little more sparingly and don't do them up as tight. Don't use it on the tiny arm screws. I have also started to heat tough nuts up and that works really well. Heat it try it, still stiff more heat.

Hey, thanks for the offer. Actually, I haven't used my slant gears yet because I still have straight gears in my parts bin.

Thanks for the tips on the green stuff. I'm picking some up today.

Which nuts are you heat treating? And why?

My horrible grammar strikes again.

is what I meant sorry. I have had to heat treat mainly grub screws on pinions, as well as the tail shaft. It works on any nut that is not coming out nicely. I would suggest heat if there is no plastic to melt. I hate striped screws.

Ha! Got ya.

I guess I can change them while I'm doing the repairs tonight

Yes, a little heat helps when the locktite is actually doing it's job. I really think my bottle of locktite went south. Got a sampler pack of red, green, and blue today.
