Does anyone know if century is going to offer a kit to upgrade the V1 Radikal to V2? The price through individual parts is quite expensive, around 90 bucks just for the new landing gear. Would be nice if they would offer an upgrade kit for a discounted price.

Considering it is to mainly correct the weak links of the V1 kit

Agreed. Can't run anything over a 260 in the Radikal V1 without fear of something breaking.

Considering I have been running a HWC 29 in my first production run V1 Radikal 30, I will have to say that this is untrue. If you are breaking things it is not due to the weakness of the airframe. You have "other" issues.

I'm gonna have to disagree, and I think quite a few people would agree. Main frame, clutch, and head are not the problem, they are great. The problem is the TT tail, it is very weak. The problems look like they were addressed nicely in the V2.

A few people had good luck with Yugos too, maybe you got a good Yugo.

You stated V1. TT were not part of V1 kits. It was an upgrade. They then start packaging kits with TT included and I would not really call them V1s. Maybe V1.5 .

I have an orginal run V1 kit with a belt tail and have not had a single issue with the airframe being overpowered by the motor. The TT is a totally different thing and not what I commented on.

No reason for the Yugo comment other than to be.. well... I guess I won't go there.

James - there were many witnesses that saw my Rad at the RAMS fun fly break the belt in flight, 6 month old heli that had its original boom on it.

It is great to hear you had such a good experiences with your Rad, mine was not so pleasant due to many different issues.

I am just stating facts, interview any of my fellow club members and they will tell you my HB700 flew regularly while my Rad was not so fortunate. And that is exactly what you got to see in Rochester.

The Yugo commented was meant to be funny, I meant no harm. I like the way the Rad flys, it is awesome when it is dialed in. You are right about the TT, it was not on the V1. I just want my heli bullet proof so an upgrade kit by Century would be nice..

As far as I know there will be no upgrade kit. You will either have to buy all the parts individually or buy a complete kit.

I bought a Yugo once. It cost me $50. I spent $2. Fixing it. Replaced fuse in cooling fan wiring. I drove it for 3 years and 95000 miles later, sold it for $1500. Best car I have ever owned. Had to sell it in anticipation of there new station wagon, its call the Weallgo. But they never made it.

I have no experience with Century{ based on first hand reviews from weekend to factory sponsored pilots in my area} and have blocked out all the Century representatives here for reasons I will not explain here,,but I will say getting parts for my very old Miniature Aircraft 1005 with a birthday of 1995 is very easy ,,all the way up to going flybarless with full ccpm. I am sticking to keeping the old gal stock with the full mechanical mixing. She is a gentle giant. My Spectra I am sure will also be supported for many years to come and I plan to make her FBL which I hear is very easy.
My experience with Min Air has been exceptional,,,you get what you pay for,,,,for Many years.

Setup is everything, All my heli's can fly far better than I can pilot them

Maybe its something Century should consider. I know when they went from Preadtor to Freestyle, they packaged up a kit and it was nice and affordable. I know that was nitro but still its the same concept and might add to sales of the new stuff at an affordable price.

for this Century based thread I can say I have experience with Miniature Aircraft (personal experience) and have not blocked out all Miniature Aircraft representatives here for reasons there is no need to explain here,, but I will say getting parts is very easy for my Century 50 with a 10 year old birthday,,all the way up to going (if wanted) flybarless with full ccpm. I am sticking with keeping my 50. She is gentle or mean. as for my Radikal I am sure I will also be supported for many years to come and I plan to make her FBL which is very easy.
