For that reason, I keep one with me just in case.

I personally think it is crazy spending $20-30K on a Harley which is nothing more than a status symbol. Either way, it is what makes them happy and this hobby makes us happy. What that guy needs to realize is that these heli's are not "Walmart specials". These are complicated machines with a lot of power. I personally think it is very weird that someone would go off on something that doesn't affect his pocket book at all.

Dogs bark, people bark, people become like dogs who can't control their wild instinct to snarl and nash their teeth sometimes.

Pay no mind. Your dood's bitterness has nothing to do with helis. In the back of his mind he knows what you are doing is cool, he knows he can't fly one but wishes he could.

We can legally open carry in Arizona without a permit. Tends to cut down on the a-hole douchebaggery quite a bit.

Funny Story
Acting like that around here would not have ended well. Amazing the guy had some real b$@lls. Not to many people can take 8 grown men.

A positive spin?
Having jerks around sucks. We can all agree on that.

Here's a different spin.

A few week's back I was flying at the club field. I'm nothing special..a real newbie. I fly Rappy (a .50) back and forth fairly low and slow.

This particular day a guy who stops by now and then to check things out shows up with his sister, bro-in-law and nephew (8 or 9). I'm out flying in the back "heli area". The group watches....and at the end...the little boy claps and cheers.

Let's hope "Uncle Dave" brings the kid back up to play with the "big kids" next summer.

Those are the really great people you meet.
