I have just sold my jr 10x and jr pcm9x both with 2.4 modules had them both for 8 years.
They have both worked superb and the quality build of the 10x is as good as anything out in the market now.
I have replaced them with a spektrum dx 18 and i was dissapointed with the quality of it but now i have got used to using it for a couple of months i have really got to like the feel of it and the programming
Now the quality doesent concern me anymore it simply does what i want it to do.

Which One?????
I have owned a 10x up until I sold it about 3 years ago.. but flew it with the module and had NO PROBLEMS at all with that...
I also owned and still have a DX7(origianl version) and I keep if for my small stuff and as a back up radio to have just in case I have to send my 12X back for service...
Now, if you are talking the new Spectrum DX7S vs the 10X with a module, I would have to say that the new DX7s would be my selection... I got to see one, just yesterday at our field and the new/latest technology is pretty amazing, and I could see using it to replace my older DX7....
Both the 10X and the 12X were the JR flagship tx's, and they both use the metal case which added to the "JR Feel" but the new technology is really taking over and I think that now that Spectrum has split from JR, I feel that they have done us a 2.4 fliers a big favor by still being backwards compatible with all the existing 2.4 rx's, where the new JR is not..
I fly 99% scale helis and airplanes and changing out ALL of my rx's again, is just not in the cards... so I would favor the Spectrum DX18 no over the JR's, which I have flown since about 1990 or so when I got into heli's...
Hope this info will help you make your selection... I have just thought of one other thing about the MM functionn... I have seen people loose models lately because the module does not have Model Match feature (and Futaba doesn't have it either) and once you have it, it would be very easy to make a mistake and I am all for as much help I can get from the Tx as I can get!!!!

I can't say much about the 10x....

But, I'd take a 9303 2.4 over a DX7 any day. I'm usually not too particular about a TX but I found the DX7 to be quite poor in quality. The case cracked on the bottom of mine and I had pins fall out of the gimble spring return mechanisms. When I got it, hot melt glue was spilled in one of the gimbles and was limiting it's travel. I wasn't impressed with the electrical workmanship at all either.

I have a DX8 now and find it worlds better. But, it might be out of your price range.

I have seen some dx8s in the market for that Price used.. like any other in this list.. I have had some issues with my dx6i that's why I was curious..

Is it true that new Jr radios like 11 or 12channel ones won't bind to the birds like 130x??

People call me crash master... for a reason.. :P :D

They will if it's Dsm2 or Dsmx. Their new new Dmss wont.

Are You Looking??
Are you considering a DX7 or a DX7s(latest version)??? There are major differences and I just want you to be certain you are looking at the correct product... the DX7S (http://www.horizonhobby.com/product...os-md2-SPM7800C ) is the one that I would go for or event the 8X ( http://www.horizonhobby.com/product...ly-md2-SPMR8800 ) if you can swing it....
The new models of JR are Dmss and they are the ones that are not backwards compatible... but the Spectrums are and will let you use everything up to DSMX.....
