I am using 3m VHB tape on 4 7200s from a 450 to 700 size and it works great. This is tape we use is an autobody shop for attaching moldings to cars. Works extremely well and I have never had a component come loose when using this tape on my helis. I have been using it for years to attach various RXs and gyros to all size helis with great results.

The 3M VHB tape is incredible. I use it on everything now. It does a great job at taming any vibrations but also peels off easy in one piece. You can find it at Staples. It only comes in a large roll for about $25. It is clear with a red backing.

What is the part number on the 3M VHB tape? There seems to be a lot of different versions and thicknesses.

Im not sure of the part number. The roll I am using is probably 5 years old. It came in a very large roll for attaching moldings to cars. I have tried to find it online, but it looks like they have a few variations now.

I found the 3M molding tape at NAPA auto parts. Threw the blister pack wrap away so I can't remember the part number, but it was hanging with other tape like pinstriping. I think I have the same number as kenb. It was expensive at around $16 for maybe les than 10ft. It won't spoil and should be usable and useful for a long time.

I picked up some of the VHB tape at Autozone yesterday. It seems a little thin. I'm questioning its vibration dampening properties.

My question is: is this stuff suppose to deaden vibration more than the stock stuff, or is the idea for it hold the FBL unit more secure and prevent excessive movement?

The 3M tape seems to deaden the vibration at just the right frequency. I know it makes the BeastX happy.

I found 3M tape part number 03615.

Seems to work well, at least on a few flights this weekend. Size is 7/8 in x 5 feet and is a little over 1mm thick.
