Got the build done on my new E720 this weekend, and did he maiden today. Great heli, aside from missing servo screws and a tail gear shaft that wasn't drilled properly the build was great. Setup couldn't be easier, I love the fixed links and being able to lock everything at 0 deg. Really made setting it up simple.

The battery setup is awesome, I love not having to pull the canopy to change packs, and first flight it was perfect. Just had to adjust the gains on my SK540 to lock the tail in. Flies well, autos great, looks good in the air and has a good sound to it. This is a great heli. Plus, the new Castle firmware lets me use the SK540 external governor and I've never seen the head speed more locked in with a Castle ESC.

Congratulations on the completion of your project and a successful maiden!! I've got one one the bench at present and stuck at the point of completing all the wiring, ecs mounting location, etc..

Do you mind sharing your electrical setup via pics? Would really be nice to see how others are mounting their equipment.

what are your sk540 and castle settings, i just got my hw sensors today for 2 helis (E720 and X50e), the main thing i'm curious about is your gain setting i heard to use 30-35, do you calibrate the throttle the same way and then set them in the in the sk540, the reason i ask is i've only been using the cc gov. i love my raptor g4's, my nitro just past the one year mark, 0 problem.

thanks

Not much to see, everything is mounted like the manual says. I'll try to take some pics for you tomorrow. It's easy to make it clean with the Esc mounted on the back and the wires all inside.

Everything on Cc and SK540 is stock. Chose external governor in Cc and bumped up the start power a little, and followed the wizard in the SK540. Only thing I noticed is that the SK needed the low endpoint in the radio 15 under what the Cc calibrated at or the Cc wouldn't arm. Didn't touch the gain. I'm running an Align 750MX motor.

I see that the description on Tower Hobbies says 690 to 710 mm blades. Are 720 blades too long or is that a misprint?
