Funny video

I've had the same Droid 2 for 2 years, dropped it 2 many times. Do they still make them new? First cell phone to outlast the contract

Something no one has brought up is how some websites don't work with an iPhone very well.I've been looking for some front axle parts for my truck with my iPhone and I was finding quite a few sites where the drop down menus for vehicle selection weren't working and I would have to get on the laptop.

Wow, seeing this thread today is weird! Long time iPhone owner here... My wife's got an iPhone 3g that was in serious need of upgrading, so I thought it was going to be cool of me to get her the new iphone 5. Well, went to ATT and sure enough they told me it'd be 3 to 4 weeks. WTH! Almost two months after launch? For an iPhone ARE YOU KIDDING ME?
So after getting really ticked off and leaving the store, I went back and bought her an HTC One X. All I have to say is OMG, why didn't switch to an android phone earlier??? it's so damned fast and I get LTE, the thing was as fast as my cable modem at home! Blown away by it. My iPhone 4 is due for an upgrade in a month, and I'm so ditching apple and going to a S3.

Now, dont' get me wrong I still like apple, the iPad is awesome, and I'm typing this on a macbook..but as for their phones, I'm done!

This hobby is like Kryptonite to chicks!

You got angry because something was sold out? Why? If you are still inside your return period, you might want to consider swapping that One X for a Galaxy S3. It's faster, has removable storage, and a removable battery. The screen isnt quite as bright as the OneX, but its a minor difference.

They work great at first, until you have to reset it every day in about 6 months.

That's BS, Laughingstill and not indicative of how all android phones are. Your comment wreaks of an iPhone fanboy. You probably installed some junk app that was causing you trouble and didn't know any better. The "hold your hand" approach of apple will obviously suit you. There are also a low of mid to low grade android powered phones that will give the rest a bad name. Any high end android phone is awesome!

That's hilarious! iphone is only one phone unless you compare versions. You compared it to all of the Android phones? Android phones are made by all of the other cell phone makers like Samsung, HTC... you name it. Loads of choices.

That is not BS, I had Android phones exclusively until early this year. Went through (4) Motorla Droids (supposed to be iPhone killers) before I woke up. I had to restart them CONSTANTLY....all four of them. You cannot tell me you don't have to restart your phone at least bi weekly to get an update installed or get it to work

Btw my IPhone is jail broken and a ton of non market apps installed and it still just works.....better phone. The numbers don't lie, the iPhone compared to any singular Android phone kills it in sales ever since the iPhone came out. Hell it owns 40 percent of the market against ALL of the Android phones!!!!

Ive had several androids. I favor them due to compatibility. Ive been tethering 4g wifi to my laptop for a couple years now beginning with a droid x on 3g. My current phone is an HTC rezound which has been bulletproof. tethering yields 3.5 to 4 MBps...thats megabytes not bits. I can download a 1gb file in less than ten minutes. I dont hate on apple products but I have yet to see one worth purchasing. As far as their notebooks are concerned, pcs are cheaper. They have a solid tablet market but its quickly failing. There will always be those dedicated to particular brands as such.

only way ill ever make the jack is if i work at a cheese factory

I have had a Droid X for over two years now and I haven't had to constantly restart it for any reason. For what it's worth, my friend was over with the other night and we used her phone to look something up. It locked up in my hand and became unusable. Just goes to show you that your precious iPhone isn't perfect.

Lastly, you can't honestly believe that you can pass judgement on all Android powered phones based on your experience with the VERY first generation Android Droid phone?

Funny how people take criticism about phones so personally... A thred Trex vs Raptor would probably be less heated! : )
My last two phones have been Androids and I work with iPhones (my company deals with service and repairs...), so I think I have a good amount of experience on both types. First, I'd like to point out again something that has already been mentioned : Android is an OS and many companies have used it (usually tweaked to fit their products) on various hardware, so I don't think it's fair to compare something like an entry level slow CPU Xperia P to the high end product that the iPhone 4s/5 is... Talking only about the OS (iOS vs Android), I would say that both are good, but for different people. I'd compare iOS to something like the Thunder Tiger Innovator : does very well what it is meant to do, but you can't swap the gyro, or servo, or modify much. Same for the iPhone, it works very well, within the limits set by Apple. And many people love it for that. Android could be any other heli that comes as a kit. Not that user friendly for a beginner, but offers lot more in terms of settings and playing around and possibilities. Maybe an Android device needs a bit fiddling with, but just plug it to your PC, drag and drop your DivX collection and you can watch them. Some might crash, but at least you had the option. iTune won't let you put an unknown file extension in your iPhone, for fear it would not play and provide a bad customer experience. Different approaches : I prefer Android, because I like fiddling with stuff but most of my colleagues in the marketing dept are very happy with their iPhone, and I don't think they are idiots.

My wifes 1 month old Moto Razr locked up on her a few weeks after I got it for her and she had to restart it. In all fairness she can't say she didn't do something to cause it since she is new to smart phones. My 2 friends that have Moto Razrs have not had any issues even after that ice cream sandwich upgrade fiasco that some people experienced earlier this year. My iPhone, no forced restarts. I don't know if it is the same with smart phones as it is with computers but isn't it a good idea to restart your phone once in awhile? I do that with my phone and that might be why I never have issues.

No but I work in a Fire Station with 9 other guys and gals for 24 hour periods every third day. I was one of the first people with an I-Phone. Mostly everybody else had Android phones and they all experienced the same issues I did. DroidX, Droid Razor, and one guy even has the new Samsung with issues now!!!
Just about everyone has converted to IPhones except the guy with the Samsung and (3) of the converts bought IPhone 3Gs (cheap people )!!!!
No issues any more......Ron
