Romney is on record that he thinks a minimum of three years of solid private-sector business experience should be a requirement for the President. Since the VP is but a heartbeat away from the Presidency it is a good thing Romney chose well in that regard:

I never heard of Paul Ryan until he became VP pick. Now after doing some research and listening to him talk, I really think he is a great pick. Lets hope he has no skeletons in his closet, other than driving the Oscar Myer Winnie mobile during school.

I think about the hereafter. I go somewhere to get something, then wonder what I'm here after ?

That's all well and good Inverted, but please answer me this, despite your dislike do you think that Ryan is qualified given Romney's own definition of what a qualified person should have? i.e. private sector business experience. Does driving the weinermobile qualify in your mind? Is Romney a hypocrite for having a VP candidate who does not fit his own definition of who is qualified?

So please, answer that, since I already know how you feel about Obama.

I am speaking of Romney's clear statement about what he feels a person should have to be qualified to be President. Now he has selected a person to be 1 heartbeat away from the Presidency who does not meet his own ideas of the experience a person should have to be President. But you have no issues with that. Just another rant about how awful Obama is.

Romney's words:
“In addition to the age of the president and the citizenship of the president and the birthplace of the president being set by the Constitution, I’d like it also to say that the president has to spend at least three years working in business before becoming president of the United States.”

Obama's words: "I'll cut the deficit in half"

I'm gonna let Romney slide on three years. Maybe he changed his mind when he saw what a good running mate Ryan would make.

I've changed my mind a few times in my life. I used to think Obama was bad...now I think he is worse than bad.

Obama gets no slack for running our economy in the ground...nor does he get any slack for all his underhanded lies.

IT could be viewed as hypocritical but I've had job candidates change my mind about the qualifications required based on how impressive they were in their interview. Didn't change the listed qualifications for future applicants though.
I won't be too worried about Mitt until I see him start lying about everything or start being wrong on every subject like Sleazbama does.

Anything is possible if you don't know what you are talking about!

the irony??? Look who is our current VP. The left would be really smart to just leave Ryan alone. But then again, the MSM never exposes any of the left's hypocrisy.

Hmmm....economic think tank or community organizer???

We should all be excited about Ryan as a VP pick. He's got the left frothing at the mouth already!

I can't wait for the VP debates. Ryan is going to mop the floor with Biden's hair plug laden squash.

And that's just being smart.

Nothing wrong with having qualifications, but it's also important to avoid having a closed mind.

You, like Romney, and SMART businessmen everywhere recognize the importance of making good decisions by keeping an open mind.

You know what is also funny? Trying to find Biden. Obama has him buried.

Everytime Obama has him speak, he gaffs it up and sets the internet ablaze with hilarity.

Biden...the village idiot's assistant.

Good observation.

But today's not over yet. Joe may have "a heart attack" at any time.

I bet Biden will get really nervous as the polls come crashing down on Obama.

Hmmm...Biden knows Obama. I'll bet he's in hiding...smart move on his part.
