One thing about Helicopters. Sure does not take much to bring em' down in pieces...

Sounds like a light saber dentist drill combined...

I have seen this before and if you watch the guy that jumps for the cable (1:42), I think when he pulls on it, it hits the blades!

What happened to remote disconnects?? Unless there was a problem with that. That was definitely a horrible sound that the cable and the turbine made.......geeez

I posted the same video a while ago here on RR. Here is the low down of what happened. It was a big deal.

https://rc.runryder.com/t704924p1/

The cable didn't release from the heli, so the pilot had to lower altitude.

AerialSkyCam, if you look closely, this video is much clearer, the video was edited, about 1-1.5 seconds is missing from the real, that 1.5 sec shows the man that was holding the cable getting struck by blades and crushed by the back of the heli, he was wearing shorts and dark Grey outfit, he was partly to blame for the crash, for swinging the rope towards the heli blades.
Look at the body parts near turbine.

The man that pulled the cable towards the aircraft was the "Rigging Supervisor".

Yep. The cables from the helicopter failed to release. Rigging Supervisor pulled the cable and brought down the heli.

The kicker: The frame for the Christmas Tree was damaged.

While that sucked that all of that happened, beautiful heli included, that was an amazing video in general. Nice quality. Per the CAA preliminary report however no injuries occurred.
