So it's settled then...the only place we can fly is once a year in Muncie. Only the people completely aware of the dangers will be there.

when I first started flying I used to have a few beers to calm my nerves and flew with training gear on at my kids birthday parties!

I had no fears because I always told my kids I would slam the heli into the ground if it ever got out of control.

I worry more now and wont allow the kids anywhere near me now that I fly at more higher headspeeds and do 3/d.

I was at ircha last year and those guys have balls of steel to fly that close to themselves and everyone else!

Had a good time flying with westwind today in a small park with houses and cars near by. Good thing we were flying safe sized helis Synergy E7, 450X, and a Typhoon 3d or somebody could have gotten hurt. Then again I could have killed a helpless person on the way there if I was being wreckless on the drive there. I say fly wherever you want and just be aware of your surroundings and do your best to be safe accidents happen that's why its call a accident. People have been killed by baseballs being hit out of the park etc... Parks are dangerous places lol

Well fellas, I'm gonna have to duck out of this one. Ten pages full of the self-entitled making knee-jerk responses about why it is acceptable to place uninvolved, uninterested, and unsuspecting bystanders in harm's way.

Most of the time, I think the other folks in this hobby are pretty swell. Sometimes, however, you make me sick.

...Final post
I know as a fact that all those who feel flying in a public area with the possibility that someone could be or is already there, would change there mind if one of there loved ones had been hit and disfigured or worse by your flying rights.. Why even do it, when there are other acceptable places. So maybe its not as close or convenient, is it worth the distraction and worry of the what if.

Some people will never bend even the slightest, and that's there right. But this is a real issue, So please next time you go fly use your head and think twice before you take other peoples safety into your hands. This is such a great hobby, lets keep it safe....

Its all earth!

Hey HeliOCD, since you made your final post and we apparently are polarlized as a group on this issue, close this thread - please! No one is going to change another's mind on this topic. TIA.
