Gotta like that. Over 4 minute flight time too. Most of the guys saying they only get 3 to 3.5 minutes out of their Goblin are either lying or have undersized packs (or only take 60-70% out). I did notice some serious overspeeding twice. I'd like to know which governor is being used.

wow thats very suprising to me. my governor holds very well in fact i dont think i could even get mine to overspeed like that if i tried. maybe hes running a different gearing or something.

Setup
Hi all!

It's me from the video. I'm sorry, but all of you have been wrong

The ESC is a Scorpion 130A opto using the internal phase sensor and VBar 5.3 governor. Castle ESC's are not very common in Germany because of the known problems they make.

It is not the ESC what does the overspeeding. The Goblin weighs about 5 kilograms and while descending there goes a lot of air through the main rotor disc. Using the correct pitch timing, the main rpm will increase and reach a value which is higher than the normal rpm, like doing auto rotations (end of video). NO ESC on earth will be able to suppress this phenomena because there is a one way bearing installed in all helicopters

Feel free to ask/contact me!

Pascal

Nice flight! My goblin over speeds too with the jive, I think because the main gears are spun in an auto rotation situation it's easier to hear.

Btw that flight was actually about 3:50 with 5 second auto bail out action near the end and I bet there wasn't much left in the packs!

60% of the time, it works every time!
