Although I have never tried the MH tail pitch slider my stock one seems to be working fine and has not broken [pin snapping off ] I guess they only break whe you run through massive vibs on every spoolup.

Setup is everything, All my heli's can fly far better than I can pilot them

Hi
I have tried every upgrade by 4 different companies for both my stock and brushless Mcpx. Many are just for bling. Others are stronger than stock parts. And some have benefits making it easier to install a brushless motor or keeping links from falling off etc. Very few make a noticeable improvement on how the heli flies and feels.

The Microheli pitch slider for the 130X made a very noticeable improvement in how the 130X flies. The tail is more locked in and inputs feel more precise. There is no side to side play in the slider.

Grab your tail blades and wiggle them and look at all the play in the stock pitch slider.

This is a performance upgrade

NOW, It should not cost people allot of money to get this heli to fly right.

Too bad that this was not done at the factory and save us allot of grief.
At least, now we know what the cause is.

It should now be easier for those who have been on the fence about buying one.

1) A little work on the hub, but the cost of 1/4 drop of green loctite, or get the new ones just released from HH.

2) 2 x 1mm Insulation off some 20 gauge pure silicon wire.
(for tail pitch slider ball and bell crank ball)

3)Tail gyro gain down 4 points from stock setting

4) Canopy grommets on swash (in the pack, no cost)

5) Better tail case bearings (if you want).

6) had to change the plastic tail bevel gear to metal.

Watch at YouTube

What's the verdict on the 300X with the beastX? Any issues?

I agree with spoolemup. It didnt take much money to make it right it was the research and time that kinda pissed me off. But it was worth it!

I changed out the tail output shaft with a new horizon one as the one on my heli was very visibly off and the new one was not. I changed the tail bearings to boca's and put in the metal A gear which I think is a good idea even if you don't have problems. I also too reduced the tail gyro gain about 4 points or so. Put the canopy grommets on the swash,,took the ones off the swash and used 2 of them on the blade grip balls. Balanced the mains and the tail blades. All this before the maiden!{except the gyro gain of course} I have not yet done this:::
2) 2 x 1mm Insulation off some 20 gauge pure silicon wire.
(for tail pitch slider ball and bell crank ball)
Interesting! I will have to look into that one. But if you tally up the cost,,,it is not much. It was the time for all us Guinea Pigs to set it straight. I went to the Horizon site to the 130x,,,clicked reviews,,,nothing came up. Interesting!!
But I am very happy with it and it is the perfect size heli to fill out my fleet which now consists of a old Blade MSR,,a brushless carbon MCPX,,my new 130x,,my Trex 450 [flybar still] a 1984 Goram model products Cricket 29 nitro fixed pitch [very cool} another old 1995 Miniature Aircraft 1005 carbon gasser with on board generator and a Min Air Spectra gasser with generator and soon to be flybarless. And a few planes and autogyros. I dont need a 300 as the 450 is so close to that in size. The 130x is for me the perfect link between the mcpx and the 450.

I will also say my local hobby shop when we were thinking about buying the bird listened to what we guys had heard about the problems and ordered lots of the crucial parts including Boca bearings even before I bought the thing so everyone involved was ready to rock and roll and solve this thing.

Installed the microheli tail pitch slider. It was a bit of work installing the arms to the tail but it was worth the effort. The slop is gone and feels better on spool up. I think my output shaft is not true as posted by spoolemup but it is an improvement. The 130x is my second heli and is a joy to fly. Even with the issues it has I would recommend it. Thanks to all for all the great information posted on the 130x.

Tom, I'll quote myself from earlier in the thread:
As a note, all subsequent shipments of this part SHOULD be correct. Unfortunately, we did not find that during any of our testing of this part that the tail hub was a root cause of any significant vibration. We did find that sometimes, simply disassembling, and re-assembling (and changing no parts) the tail on a 130x which was vibrating, did decrease or even eliminate much of the vibration seen during spool up. That being said, we realize that this part should be manufactured correctly and have worked with our factory to ensure that all future shipments are correct.
