Converting my 700n was a piece of cake. It all just worked. The 600 is driving me nuts. I'm using all the same parts too. Kde head and control arms. Align grips. The problem I am having is the control links are too long. I can run them down until the links are just about to come through the bottom of the ball link and I still have about two degrees pitch at center. Has anyone else had this problem. In vbar I could lower the swash but I don't like that idea. I tied links from. 550 but they are too short. I've thought of trying to find a die to run the threads down a little so I can trim a few mm off the rods but I shouldn't have to do that.... I'm stumped. Suggestions?

Are you talking about the links from the swash to the grips? If that's the case try dropping the swash with the links from the servos.

Are the arms on the swash driver parallel at mid stick, or are they canted upward as well?

They also sell allthread at LHS. You can make the link any size you want.

My thought was everything should fit with out cutting. But it was 1am so I wasn't thinking all that clear. With the swash, arms and all level I cut down the links until they would just fit. Swash is at mid point on the shaft so I guess all will be good. I have noticed on the fbl stuff align is really giving you a much longer link then they used to. Early 450 days you hoped to get just enough to hold it all together. These days you hope not to poke the rod through the end of the ball link.

I just got it 99%tied up. Going to putting the air and see how it goes. 700 was a dream from first lift off with the vbar conversion. Hopefully the 600 will be the same. I have my fingers crossed.

Thanks everyone.

ran into the same issue. Links too long. I ordered links from all over the place. I got it to work by screwing them on really really tight. (cutting off the links a bit as well) I finally found the turnbuckle lenghts were the right size and have the reversed thread so you can get your pitch perfect. I cant recall the exact lenghts. You need to search to find the shortest rods. Will check out my past threads to see what I ended up with.

H55047 Flybarless Linkage Rod Set A T-Rex 550/600

Includes:
- Linkage Rod A 2.5 X 61MM
- Ball Link x8

61 is still too long, you need them under 60 to fit perfect.

try the 55 or 58 either should be the right lenght. You do want 3mm rods if you can find them, but the 2.5 will work, just have to use either the 700 links or 600 link ends.

or maybe these.

I think 58mm is the perfect size. You will have to determine which links work, (700 or 600) depends on rod diameter, balls on the swash. I have 700 sized balls on mu swashplate. so a mix of links. I think I ended up drilling some links out very slightly because they were 3mm rods and (on one end) the 600 or 550 fbl links were 2.5mm If when you drill make sure its not loose. Toss them out and start over to get it right. Lots of tourque on these parts.

cool thats the correct size. I had a heck of a time getting this rod in the correct lenght last year. Seems the Align links (I think) were designed to work on the 3g head and did not fit well at all on the other heads available out there.
