I am contemplating a 12s set up for my future logo 600 sx (my winter project).

Questions:
1. How will a 12s 3850mha with a pyro 700-45 set up compare with the default 10s 4400 HKIII 4035-560 setup (with a jive 80 or heli jive 120) in terms of performance, head speed range and flight times.

2. Will the stock motor mount / counter bearing work with the pyros 30mm hole spacing.

3. How does the pyro compare to the scorpion in terms of bearing oiling?

Thanks!

I could be wrong, because I am not an expert in the heli/motor/battery combinations. I just do what every body else does.
But I know that the 600 SX doesn't come with the bigger blades like the 600 SE and the Pyro works best with the bigger rotor head.
When I made my regular logo 600 to SE and bought the motor I had to buy a new motor mount.
Someone mention once that the sweet spot for this helicopter regarding batteries is 12s 4000 or 12s 4500
I have both motor and no problems so far.

Got it. So my next question, without starting a new thread, is how does the pyro 700 52 compare to a scorp 560 both running 10s. I know the pyro has slightly less KV (530). I think mikado bundles the 700 52 for a 10s logo 600.

Don't be put off your 12s idea it is sound and some benefits of higher voltage is more efficiency and lower amps.

If you think one day you will go SE then get a 450ish kv motor and pinion to suit, if not Pyro 700-52 or similar.

As for pack size that's personal, I ran 12s 3300's 5-6mins with jive and pyro which are pretty efficient.

If starting out go 12s no negatives only gains. The old it was designed 10s is true and flys obviously very well but 12s will not turn the machine in to a lemon!!

I have run both the Kont. 700-52 and Scorpion HKIII 4035-560 on 10s in the Logo 600 3D. While I feel the Scorp had a slight edge on power, the Pyro was a much cooler running motor than the Scorp. The difference was huge.

Pyro's don't need the bearings oiled like the scorpions. I have two -45's and a -52 and have never had an issue with any of them.

@ SGrim....

If I recall correctly the K gave me about 30 seconds more using 65% of a Hyperion 35c 4500 mah stick. I now wish I would've left the Pyro in it, but just wanted to try something different. No longer using the Scorpion and sold the Pyro awhile back. Currently running a Hacker A50 10L 580kv Turnado. Nice motor and a lot cheaper than a Pyro. No issues on Mode 4 Jive 80hv...not running KSA.

OK! I didn't realize the logo 600 would balance and have a decent run time with 12s 3300s. I'm currently stocking up on TP 6s 3300's for my Protos 500 stretch. So I guess in theory I could set up my logo like this and share packs?

Pyro 700 - 45
2x TP 3300 6s packs
jive 80 or heliJive 120
edge 603 blades

How would this balance? Maybe I can add a small tx pack to run HV servos? What kind of flight times for sport / mild 3D?

I would love to not have to buy new packs for this heli...

Thanks all!

It will balance fine and expect 6 mins with kontronik and that flying style. I've run those setups for years. More mah more weight so not a linear flight time gain. Go 600-620 depending on how you like the disc loading.

Jive 80hv is more than sufficient, lighter and smaller.

This setup is superb.

The biggest problem I had when I got my logo going was not wanting to fly the smaller helis. :-)

You will see.
