I'm building my first flybarless model, a MA Whiplash Nitro FBL with O.S. 105HZ-R. I have either a JR 12x or Spektrum DX8 transmitter I can use. I'm considering the Silverline V-Bar 5.3 Pro, the Total G, Skookum SK 540 or HeliCommand HC3-Xtreme. I want to use a SwitchGlo Pro as well. Just looking for an easy to use setup that works with the transmitters I have at the highest resolution and has a governor. Leaning towards the V-Bar as it seems to have the largest following by far.

Looks like the HeliCommand HC3-Xtreme does not support a governor function.

VBar wins every day, you just can't go wrong with one.

Total G discontinued.

I use the Helicommand on 5 helicopters. Three are electric, two are nitro. Switchglo Pro's are on both intros, and I use the small, cheap, simple external governors with blackplate sensors. Fingers crossed on Helicommand offering a governor upgrade in the future. It has been requested, but no official news of if/when. I have heard that the V-bar governor is NOT a good choice for a nitro, but I cannot verify that claim from personal experience. I was advised to use a standalone gov/limiter.

Enjoy things that money can buy IF you don't lose the things money can't buy.

Good to hear. Glad I included a disclaimer when passing on the report I heard locally. Hopefully others will chime in.

CGY750, V-Bar, SK540, in that order. If cost is an issue, go with the SK. You won't have as much of a user database as with CGY or V-Bar, but it seems to work well without much fiddling. All three are vibration tolerant. The V-Bar Silverline has new gyro sensors (same sensors as CGY750). The older V-Bars were problematic with nitro vibs.
