Great, you'll be very happy with your whippy customer support is outstanding. One of the best out there as in stands to date. The build goes really fast. What equipment are you going to fly?

Well I have 2 sets of electronics from last two 90s I sold which is why I opted not go with the 105. I having to sale my two brand new 701s and get a 750 and I need a SBus receiver as well.

I will check those for canopies, I like the design just wish it other color options

That's one of the nicest things about the Whippy, there's nothing else to buy.... Some guys turn their noses up at the music wire tail rotor pushrod and try to put the big composite thing on it instead. But personally I prefer the music wire because it's flexible enough at the ends and the guides give it plenty of support when in compression.

It's built strong as a truck in all the right places, like the gear trains and the tail rotor transmission clamps both front and rear. There's no way any of that stuff is going flex or give in flight no matter how hard it gets hammered on.

I'm sure going to be depressed on that day I finally crash mine. But it's definitely a keeper.

I'm probably eventually going to build a nitro too with my 700N leftovers...

Mine is shipping on Monday, thrilled to finally be flying something that isn't 12 years old with no parts available. Anyway, stupid question perhaps but this is my first Carbon frame helicopter, everything else has been metal or G10. I seem to recall years back one had to prep the frames around the bolts to "ground" the chassis from static discharge or something. Is that necessary these days? If yes, what is the procedure?

Thanks!

I have one coming from heliproz also. They told me today it was the last one in stock .
Anyone have any quick build tips or tricks for Whiplash N FBL?
Can't wait for this build to start. Just built a fury 55 fbl.
What an awesome machine!!! the quality of the parts and the kit as a whole just blows my mind compared to the others I've owned.

Thanks MA for the superb helis!

No big issues with the build. If you plan on using the YS120, on page 27 it show that the motor washer is under the fan, You can install it that way or under the nut. I have mine installed under the fan and no issues.

Landing gear, some are using the tuff strut II as a mod which is a good idea to help save your frames in the event of a bad crash. Other than that the heli builds fast with low part count. Just take your time and you'll have a realy good flying heli.

Maybe others can give more tips but that's about it for the whippy.

Special note on the links..

they are capable of half turns to get the links where you want them!

Also you will want to size the links where needed...especially on the tail links on the tail grips, they can be tight which is good but usually needs a little sizing to be butter smooth.

Hope this helps

Also I have not done any special grounding of frames for static. With 70 flights on mine I have had no issues.
