New frames: 1.6 or 2mm ?
Back from a 2 year break from the heli hobby , I finally found the root cause for a long standing vibration problem in my trusty old 600N (one of the first kits sold). One of the elevator arm bearings seated in fiberglass frame is loose. I figure this is good time to upgrade, the frames have lasted through several crashes as well.

I see there are both 2mm and 1.6mm frames. Is there a reason not to get the 2mm carbon frames? Are any other replacements then needed?

I have always used 2mm just a personal preference.

Thanks for your reply!

Just to test my vibration theory, I saturated the fiberglass around the bearing with superglue, let it dry, repeated 3 times. Since it was not very loose to begin with, this got pretty solid, and I was enough to test fly a couple of flights, completely vibration-free, finally!

I decided to be lazy in this great flying weather and just ordered the one 1.6mm fiberglass identical part. Next time I will upgrade to carbon.
