Which Scorpion motor to use with Century 3 blade scale mechanics
Hi all,

I purchased the Century 3 blade scale mechanics set (CN1000S50-3).
This set is supposed to be build into a AS350 scale fuselage

I will use the electric conversion kit WITH clutch.
According to Century the desired headspeed for multi-blades should be 1550-1750 RPM.

http://www.centuryheli.com/products...ctricsetup.html

This is what I have so far:
Century 3 blade Scale Mech CN1000S50-3
Skookum 720
ESC Phoenix ICE HV80 ICE2
BEC Gryphon Agena 45V15A GSR-5045LMT
Lipo's depending on which motor I will use

Since I don't have any clue about calculating headspead, I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I prefer a Scorpion motor instead of the standard Century motor, but don't know which one to purchase. The 650, 730, or 890 kV.

Thanks!
Darn, didn't know a heli could make such a big crater

I just finished my build. I had spoken to century a few weeks ago about the same issue. They told me to use the scorpion 4020 series 890kv which they say works great.the only thing you have to do is drill new holes on motor plate since the scorpion motor is a bit smaller. Century has great customer service. They've helped me so many times. I hope this helps you.

Thanks
Jose
