Goblin 630
My goblin 630 came in today. I can't wait to build it, will post pics tomorrow evening.

This will be my setup

Scorpion HKIII 560
YGE 120HV HS
Torq servos all the way around
Vbar 5.3

I may run it on a YGE 90HV until my 120 get in and see how it preforms on 10s before moving to 12s

regards,
Furron

Wrongler it is nearly a 700.. it is almost too close to call lengthwise and height.

the main difference is the smaller blade span.. this really is a different class heli and not really a 600 anymore..

there are some new hires pics out there floating around of a guy in Russia with both right next to each other from front side and above views.
it is barely shorter..

Mine is shipping from RCgalore on Monday.. so will be late next week for me gonna be a long hard week watching tracking numbers..

I'll post some pics later of the 630 and 700 side by side but the 630 is only about 3 inches shorter than the 700 and it's 1/2 pound lighter without batteries. My 630 weights 10.3lbs ready to fly with a Scorpion 4035-560, YGE 90HV ESC and TP 3850 6s-65C packs. My 700 weights 11.4 lbs ready to fly.

Although the 630 is a heavier machine, it does not feel that way in the air and I actually enjoy flying it much more than my Logo 600.

Has anybody who has a few flights comment on the state of their dampeners? Some on the other site are having issues with the dampeners after a few flights. They develop a lot of play. So it seems like they are loosing their rigidity prematurely.

My boom gave me nightmares last night.. build went flawlessly up to the boom.

boom looked fantastic.. but..
Turns out my boom is too thick.. making it nearly impossible to get the brace installed had to grind some material out but not before I ruined the brace setup itself.

Tail servo mounting was also a bear on my kit.

funny since I've done this 2x before I figured this would be a simple build.

Will continue fighting with it tonight.

After 16 flights my dampeners have become very soft as well. I'm going to take the head apart and investigate later and possibly add some more shims. My 700 has over 40 flights and is still tight so I'm not sure why the dampening in the 630 is softening up so quickly.Teambob00

I had to add .8mm of shim on each side to get the stiffness of the head to match the 700. There is a bit more preload on the bearings but that should not matter once the blades have spooled up.Teambob00
