What batteries are everyone using on the 130x?
Just picked up a 130x after seeing so many flying them at the last Fly In I went too. I have just 2 flights on it (and like it), but can see I need more batteries. I picked up an extra eflite 300mah when I bought the heli. What are you guys using and where are you getting them from? I checked Progressive RC's website but the smallest 2s is 800mah. Thanks

I bought a bunch of Gens-Ace 450 2s at hobbypartz. They are little too heavy and big, but I mount them under the heli so no problem with fitting and CoG.

I'm running 4 stock batteries and 8 Lectron's ( Common Sense ) 300 mah batteries. I just do sport flying and after 4 minute flight I usually put back around 108-218 mah. Have about 75 flights on my two heli's and both brands do well.

I like them as use the factory connectors and they have came out with a 360 and 450 mah pack that weights about the same as a stock pack. The 300 mah packs weight around 9 g's lighter than the stock.

I bought a couple ThunderPower 350s and a 450 from the LHS and changed the connector on the heli. BOth work great. The 450 is a little big, and requires a tug on the canopy plus the heli feels heavier in the air with it, the 350 fits perfectly, and flies very light. Both are a huge improvement over the stock battery, and the JST connectors are much easier to plug and unplug. I'll be buying more 350s for sure, I need to recharge them to see how much my 4 min flight took out, but after 4 mins of flipping it around, fast backwards and some cute little tic tocs it didn't feel any weaker.Nick Crego

Lecton's
I just got 4 of Letcon Pro 450mah's. Flew the first one for 5:30 and it was not slowing yet. Keeping in mind that I don't do the 3D stuff! Yet!
They are a bit longer but I had no problem. Weight? I don't know how they compare to the stock bats. @ $13 each they seem like a deal to me.

Not necessarily, your packs are hot because you are drawing near their C rating. A larger pack can deliver more continuous amps with the same C rating as the stock pack. My TPs are warm at the end, but not hot.Nick Crego

I got a 130 last weekend at HOD... and Love it! Definitely the next step up from the mcpx.

I bought 3 Lectron's when I bought it... and am finding they are not as good as the stock battery. Wish I bought those instead! The stock battery has more power/ pop.

I want to buy some more batteries, and in lots of reading am finding there is not allot yet out there to choose from. The stock batteries are actually getting good reviews.

You guys that have flown the TPs versus the stock battery... are you seeing more power / pop from the TPs?
