cgy 750 govenor over speeds
I have just notice that my govenor over speeds on my cgy 750 unit.I brought a futaba 12 fgh to sort this problem out but i still have the same problem. My setting are normal 1850 idle up 1 2000 but i get a reading of 1940 in normal mode and 2130 in idle up 1.Is it normal for the headspeed to over shoot the rev,s you put into the radio and the cgy 750 unit.

Mine overspeeds a little too. I'm guessing it happens at 0 degrees pitch during vertical descents. I tried lowering the low throttle position from 40 to 35 and then to 30, all with no change so I just left it alone. If it didn't have this feature to recall the highest rpm you probably wouldn't be worrying about it because it all sounds pretty good in flight. I wouldn't worry about it.

Lowering the low limit idle up does help in some cases.

So do increasing governor gain and possibly increasing the response rate (as long as you don't induce hunting).

Finally, double check that your midrange needle is not too lean, because that is a common inducer of overspeed as well.
