Furion 6 with larger tail fin and blades - anyone else do this????
I want to get more tail authority for my Furion. I do not want to use the speed-up pulley for several reasons. I bought the Custom Heli Parts tail fin, which is 15mm longer than the stock one. I also bought 105mm tail blades to replace the 95's. My head speed is 2150.

My question for those who have gone this route. Did you need to alter the landing gear, add shims to raise up the heli, etc...?

I just have a standard size fin and don't have an issue. I fly off grass and the blades just get a bit greened up occasionally.

Thanks guys. I will leave all alone and just change the fin and blades. My blades get green, but that's okay, it matches the canopy. Just wanted to make sure there is still enough clearance with the longer blades.Compass 7HV, Trex 550E

I have 620 Mavrikk mains and the custom tail fin and Mavrikk 105's on my F6... I didn't like the feel of the stock gear so I used Trex 700 LG, I just had to drill holes to make it fit and I trimmed the length of the skids just a little... Flies great, I fly it at 1800 in Idle 1, 2100 in idle 2 and 2300 in idle 3 and it holds greatTeam Heliproz / Team Gens Ace / RCAP / Bob Alberding

I use the fin off the whiplash. You get a few mm by using the base plate too. You can double it up for more ground clearance or just use the tail blade spacers on the rear of the skids to lift up the tail.
