blade 450 looses trim after flips or rolls?
Hi guys n gals iv had my blade 450 3d for about a year now crashed it twice...first time wasnt too bad main shaft and fs canopy blades...the second all my servos striped so needed replacing with cheap mg servos..
Now my problem is i'll get her trimed up in a hover then i'll do one or two flips/rolls n bring her bk down into a hover n now i have to retrim???
I did have this problem befor becouse of useing cf blades without the spacers but since i glued spacers off the wood blades to the cf blades it had been fine till i replaced the servos!
Am i missing somthing here or do i need to replace the bloody servos again?
Pls help many thanks paul

sounds like the servos may not be centering.cheaper servos sometimes have this issue

also could be loose head parts.make sure everything on the head is good.

Humm does seem to point towards the servos as they were only cheap at £7each just to get me flying again :-/
A slightly bent main shaft wouldnt do this would it!..as iv noticed the little metal button top of the main shaft looks a little out of shape thanks for your reply ;-)

If you are able to, put a piece of tape on your frame where the servo arms are. Then mark on the tape where the arm is located, move the servos around and see if they center back to your mark. Do this several times for best results.

If you're unsure if you have a bent main shaft, take it out and roll it on a table, counter or glass. You'll very quickly see if it's bent.

Not sure allso how do i get my 450 to roll n flip faster?its like theres not anuff travel on the cyclics but there at 100% allready!!
When i say slow its taking around +3seconds for it to come bk to a hover!

On a lot of the cheaper servos, I'm pretty sure the gear on the pot in the servo slips. As some are just pressed on a round pot shaft, and have no notch to keep them from slipping, when you bang the sticks around hard center will be somewhere else. ^^^ I bet the tape and mark will confirm this.

Also check the feathering shaft and dampers. If the shaft is bent or the dampers are worn it will cause a similar issue.

Reset tx setting and put advanced settings in...reset heli head too...flew ok still has a bit of trim problem but loads better then it was,now only thing is im not geting alot of + power?is this becouse i had to adjust the servo travel on swash to 85% not 100% reason for this is the swash was catching the guide pins on head?
Is there any other way around this?
Im sure i had tons more power befor new servos!!

Are you getting more + pitch than - pitch? Another way of asking, is it possible for you to get +14 if you can only get -7? If so, then perhaps you can lengthen the servo to swash rods and shorten the swash to grip arms to raise the swash and even out your pitch.HK-500 ; Titan 50 SE ; T-600N ; T-700N

Thats an idea...i have now sorted the pitch so i get -10° 0° +10° only thing out was cyclic by 1° on one blade!
So your saying to screw in the servo links by 2 or 3 turns then extend the blade links 2 or 3 turns out!
Thus lowering the swash to give me more +pitch :-/
Think i understand that...but would i need to set it up from scratch again?any messing with tx setting so on?

N this is going to make my heli shoot up like a rocket when giving full power "like it use to"?

Allso do i need to turn down the gyro gain becouse i get tail wag when im in fff...both in normal and 3d mode?im set to around 77.5% on both!
Thanks for your time as you can tell im a newis noob only been flying a year....but lovein it..inverted hovers with this heli today :-D

Assuming your servo control arms are at 90* at mid stick, with the use of little or no sub trim then there should not be any other settings in your radio. Everything can be changed mechanically. I'd try it and see what happens.HK-500 ; Titan 50 SE ; T-600N ; T-700N

I got it setup right +12° 0° and -12° :-) had one and a half lipos....i was doing endless fliprolls "if thats what they are called"...not so endless after smashing into the field :-( damage broken...cf blades...bent feathering shaft...striped main gear...broken landing gear....not good but could have been worse,
That will teach me to calm down and not fly it like the 130x :-/
Still had a slight trim problem but wasnt as bad!!
