3GX on Blade 400
Hopefully this isn't the start of another 3GX hater. I installed a 3GX on my blade 400 after having successfully setup a 3GX on my Trex 550.

Installation and setup seemed to go fine. However, the tail does not want to hold. Gyro direction is correct, but I have to give right rudder to keep the heli from doing a piro to the left. Its not a violent spin, aka gyro backwards (i've already done that on the 550 after the upgrade to 2.1). More like a severe trim problem.

I'm running a Hitec 5084 on the tail and version 2.1 on the 3GX.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Adjust in normal? Didn't think I had to do this on the 3GX. I had it dialed in nice with the GY520 I just ripped off.

I just set it to the center of travel in DIR mode, then did the travel limits setup.

Ever get it working properly? I'm just now starting forward flight and figure eights. Can nose in hover fine. Wanted to go FBL since calm days are few and far between around me. And was hoping for a bit more stability. The 520 was awesome for a fb machine. But everyone at the club said that FBL on the 450 size was a great upgrade (granted they are all beastX guys).Remember...runways are for models and wings are for fairies.

How did you get the tail to hold? I see there is the Anti Torque setting...description sounds like it might help my problem.Remember...runways are for models and wings are for fairies.

Solved my stupidity after getting parts replaced. New club member reminded me DX8 with 3GX means gyro gain should be set to Aux2. Forgot to change it from Gyro to Aux2.Remember...runways are for models and wings are for fairies.
