Gaui X5 or wait for the Synergy E5?
I'm not trying to start a flame war here, but since I'm starting over from scratch after 3 years away from helis, what do you think?
I've narrowed down my choices to these two. Since I am going to begin collecting all the gear I am going to need, I have time to think about this, but I know there must be folks out there that have flown both X5 and E6/7.
I would really like some constructive opinions about this choice. I know many of you will say get what I want, but I would really like some constructive opinions.

Thanks for your time!

I've owned a X5, very nice heli flies great. But can't compare my E6 or my E7 to Gaui. Synergy has less parts, easier to get to, build etc... Parts are beefier and therefore more resistant.
If you can't wait for the E5 then you will be well served by the Gaui, but if you can wait I would.
Come down to IRCHA and go to the Synergy booth (Matt will have a E5 on hand) and the Gaui booth (I'm sure they will have a X5 on display). This will surely help make up your mind.

The wait may not be too long! They wanted to have it out by IRCHA, so even if they miss that, it shouldn't be too awfully long.Bald Pilots usually wear hats!

I have a N5c and a x5. I'd just buy the x5 ,I wouldn't wait for the synergy it's a great heli but no better than the Gaui.

E5. The hopes were that it would be available by IRCHA but it was delayed so if memory serves me right someone over on Synergy mentioned after such as October-ish. Not bad to wait a little bit more time for a great machine.Regards, Brandon Bartolomucci; Team Synergy; Team Scorpion; & Team Bavarian Demon; AMA# L939231

I love my X5. It's good quality and silky smooth. Super light too.

I am interested in seeing what the E5 has to offer, but I don't think you would have any regrets if you got an X5. It's an excellent helicopter.

Keep in mind the X5 is designed for 500-520mm blades and the E5 will swing 556mm stock. It will also be very easy to stretch the E5 with existing E6 parts.Team Synergy / Rail Blades / Morgan Fuel

I have had the pleasure of seeing the E5 in person. Matt brought it to our Fun Fly in Cincinnati. Matt and I sat it next to my X5 and let me tell you, there is no comparison. I LOVE my X5, but I will own an E5 to compliment my E7 Chris Sexton

Two different helis. The X-5 is a true 500 sized heli swinging 500-520 blades. The E5 will be a 550 bladed heli. Does not sound like much of a difference but there is a HUGE difference when you jump categories from 500 to 550....much like 600 to 700. A better comparison would be a Logo 500 or a Trex 550. Same class heli that used the same power systems........RonTeam MikadoUSA 480XXTreme, 550SX, 600SX, 700XXTreme, 800XXTreme!!

I've not seen the E5 but from the specs it looks like it'll be a much strong and heavier airframe designed for bigger blades.

2mm frames,1.25 gears,10mm shaftetc.
