Best beginner gas helicopter
Hello all
I have flown nitro and electric helis for several years now and wanted some opinions on what would be the best choice for a 1st gasser helicopter?
I have a brand new Zenoah G260 and would like to put it in a gentle bird intil i get the feel of a gasser.
Thank you for any help.

Gasser Intro
Hi Cheedog,
I've been flying gassers for maybe three or so years now and never looked back.I almost never fly my nitro heli's anymore because of the cost of their fuel. Since you have a Trex 600 already, you could go with a conversion kit. HeliBug and Century are two company's that I know of with these kits. Sorry though,I am only familiar with the HeliBug kit and have had no problems with them(Got two 600s with a possible third(700)one in the future).I'm sure you are like everyone is this hobby with loads of current helicopter parts like in your case a Trex 600 and with a conversion kit you will still be able to use them. I am also scale kind of flyer and I am having blast with the lower cost of having fun. Good luck on what ever gasser you purchase.......you will never regret it. Welcome to the club!

I agree with Tim.

the easiest way for you to dip your toe into the gas helicopter world is to convert your 600 using either the Helibug or HWC conversions.

You need the conversion and a motor and you're ready to go.

What gasser to buy
Hello
I meant to tell you guys that i HAD a T-Rex 600 but i crashed that last year.
Tha new motor i have is a Zenoah G260RC that i purchased from the late Al Wert.I bought it for the CH-53 Sea Stallion but that is a long ways from being completed.I'm looking for a gasser kit to get the feel of things. Hopefully by then the CH-53 will be ready for it's maiden flight.
Thank you for your help

Get a heli maybe used if you have someone that is familiar with the bird and gassers as well in your area. For some reason gassers had abit steaper learning curve for me than when I was starting on nitro as far as tuning etc.Setup is everything, All my heli's can fly far better than I can pilot them
