8FG MultiGov Pro Beastx R6203SB
8FG MultiGov Pro Beastx R6203SB
This is my equipment and i cant figure out how to get the multigov to work.
everything is hooked up. there is only power and SB wire going to the receiver. everything is going through the beastx including throttle. the radio is set up correctly and on the multgov screen i am getting different values for speeds but when i flip to the "gov test" menu everything is showing off.

in the multigov i have the RPM in and the SEN and the SV1 is hooked up to the SYS on the Beastx for power.

its a lot of info but if you hav the same set up or know what you are doing can you let me know what I'm doing wrong?

THANKS

Running a Beastx on 8FG with Multigov Pro & push glow

-Setup 8FG with a new model, name it, set swash to H1 and set to Multi2. Nothing else should be setup at this time on the radio.
-plug swash & rudder servos into the Beastx as directed in the beastx manual
-in the Beastx manual you have the choice of pluging your throttle servo into the Beast...however the manual recommends that you use your receiver to take advantage of radio failsafes.
-plug SBUS cable on 6203SB into beastx as shown in the manual.
-on the Multigov you have 4 ports Thr- throttle servo connection to receiver, Rpm- Rpm selection for the multigov, Sen- engine sensor, Sv1- throttle servo hookup.....
-connect Thr to port 1 on 6203SB
-connect Rpm to port 2 on 6203sb
-connect engine sensor to multigov port Sen
-connect throttle servo to multigov port Sv1
*NOTE: if using a pushglow connect your pushglow power to the Multigov port Aux. you may also use a y harness and connect the pushglow to port 3 on the 6203sb receiver.
-plug your battery into port 3 on the 6203sb receiver. Again if your using a pushglow you can y harness the battery and power cable into the 3/b port.

At this point your heli should be all wired.

Power up the 8FG, go to the Function menu and change throttle to port 1 and Aux1 to port 2. Assign your Aux1 to your flight mode switch. INH the Govenor. then power up the heli but hold down the button on the Beastx to put it into receiver setup mode. In the Manual it has the SBus Futaba setting(I want to say red, but don't quote me, just refer to the manual). Once this is set the next thing Beast is looking for is your CH assignment if it was stock, which this is not, you would proceed with telling beast so. However you need to tell Beast you have a custom setup. Again follow the directions in the manual to define each channel by moving the proper stick or switch. You may need to adjust pitch or throttle curves to get only one function working at a time. beast senses which item is doing that task assigns it a channel and then locks it out so you can't accidentally assign two functions. Easy way to check to verify is looking at the servo menu and see what's moving. When you have assigned everything a channel Beastx will move to the end and ask for failsafe info, click through that and Beast goes into sleep mode. Power off

At this point your ready to start normal Beastx setup. Before you begin go back into your 8FG and reset your throttle & pitch curves back to linear -100 to +100. Setup your flight modes and TH switches. Go into the Gyro menu and click on Rud and change to SW from cond. this allows you to change you gain on the tail define a switch and when you want it on or off, etc. Now proceed thru the normal Beastx setup process. Once complete power off.

Plug your Multigov Pro programmer into the multigov and power on the heli. Once powered up hold down the Next-Menu button and this will put it into setup mode. You can follow the directions for setup but switching the flight mode switch should change your modes on the programmer and allow you to change your RPM. Since the mode switch is just a switch there is no adjustment in the radio. Just on or off based on what you defined. Complete the setup entering your gear ratio, setting the high & low throttle, etc.

If you follow this it should get you to where you need to be wiring and setup wise for using a Futaba 8fg, Beastx & Multigov pro. Be sure once all your connections are correct to hot glue them to the Beast, 6203sb & Multigov....don't want anything accidentally coming out.

Hope that helps.

I may give it a try
I cannot get my multiple gov to work properly. It governs but just one speed. The oddity is that it looks like it is working?

I'm using an align gov on another beastx and it works just fine.

When you test the modes on your multigov when flipping your mode switch it should switch between speed 1-3. If not go back and look at your 8FG setup and verify that Aux1 is setup properly and assigned to your mode switch. Also verify that you have The RPM select cable from the Multigov plugged into the correct channel you have assigned to Aux1 on 8FG.

If the Multigov is not setup with an RPM select cable it will default to speed 1 across all flight modes. Same goes if you don't have Aux1 programmed in the radio...it will only see one speed.

Hope that helps

The issue is that; It all looks good on the multigov. It changes speeds from 1 to 3 when I go through the FM switch. It reads the magnet at 99. The throttle limits test, good.

But, when I got to fly, I only get one speed? It is not speed 1. Speed 1 is 1650rpm. It's more like 1900 - 2000rpm. It's governed and its constant, but it doesn't quite relate to speed 2 or 3. I'm not sure whats going on.

I've contacte Aerospire, but they say that they are not aware of any issues on the 8Fg that would cause it. The only thing that I did was change Rx's from a spectrum to a Futaba. And yes, I redid my setup on everything.

Thanks

Ok I'm running into problems here. Port1 and 2 on this rx are aileron and elevator. How exactly do I assign the ports on the rx? This doesn't make sense.

Ok so I have everything switching correctly. So now we've changed channels or fbl unit doesn't care or see this because we are using sbus? Weather it be vbar, bx, etc?
