South Coast Helifest
Just home from a great weekends flying, with the South Coast Heli Club
Although it was an open weekend, there were only a couple of their club members flying pod and boom, plus myself with a petrol Acrobat, and turbine XLV
There was non stop scale helis flying for the 2 days
One heavy shower, and increasing wind strenths today was the only small, down side, but flying continued to late afternoon, when a lot of happy pilots headed home
Many thanks to club members, and their ladies, for providing hot and cold food and drink, and a great ambience

Is that a type of adjustable undercarriage on the white pod and boom heli in the last picture?

Hi Helibeli, Yes the Undercarriage is custom made by one of our club members who makes parts for f1 cars. The undercarriage is sprung loaded in case of hard landings, this has worked well as the owner had a flame out and had a bit of a hard auto which saved the heli.
