Its not too often im out here asking questions but i need your help...i have this unit in my Protos 500 and until today it has been working as it should. I lost half my negative pitch in flight...landed and checked with a digital pitch guage and sure enough negative pitch gone and my zero pitch was also slightly positve. Recalibrated and flew another battery and same thing....landed recalibrated. Flew again this time lost all positive pitch and losts of negative...landed and without touching the any setting put the pitch gauge on and it was showing a perfect
+14 - 14 as i set but clearly in the air it is not. Its also not as sharp and crisp as it was last flying day. I dont get it...the only thing i can think of is the last time i had it out i ran a battery into low voltage and the YGE controller was beeping when i landed. I flew after that with no issues. It seems like it has a mind of its own now. I checked the model over and mechanically its sound ans when i go into menu k my pitch is where i set it ans sometimes its off a couple degrees. Im lost with this one...anybody else having issues like this?? This is a textbook setup and i have another unit that is working fine and i have a buddy that says one of his is doing the same thing...

i have had the very same issue, but mine was excessive neg. pitch. i was inverted and did a punch out and it took off like a rocket. put it on the bench, put my digital guage on it and i have 12 pos. and 16 neg.
checked everything for slop. and reset it up. flew it and it seemed to have the same issue. in a upright hover and i would do a full pitch pump it seemed fine, but when i was real high and did a full neg pitch pump it came down like a ton of bricks. so i thought maybe its just gravity, so i put it inverted and did a full pitch pump and sure enough it took off like a rocket.
all i did was a complete reset and havent had the issue anymore.

The Protos 500 has lots of issues with static. I've had several crashes with mine because of it. Is it possible that you're having static issues? Im running a regular BeastX in mine but i've not had pitch change issues. My crashes are cooler than your flying! ;^)

I had a similar thing happen on one of my units. It happened after powering down after a flight. When I switched the unit back on later, then it was limited in travel. Reprogrammed AR7200bx and it's been okay since.

I have the machine grounded main motor to frame and also boom to frame...heli has about 30 flights before this problem creeped up. Im going to reset and rebind and start fresh and see what happens. I wont be able to test it until this coming weekend. I hope it solves the problem the heli was flying so sweet. Best 500 ive flown by far
