MA 1005 Throttle Curve
I'm just finishing up the set up of my gasser, I'm more familiar with my nitros and have a question regarding the throttle curves for my gasser. I've searched the threads and have determined the throttle points but in regards to the stick position to the points are they similar to a nitro setup.
So on a 5 point normal flight mode throttle curve are we using 0, 37, 50, 62, 100? On my 12x this is where I would program my nitro throttle curve stick positions. Is this similar to a gasser curve with the exception that the servo output would be 0-23-25-27-100?

That is a good starting point, you might lower the first couple of points, into the teens,, adjust from there to your own liking!!! XGM/VGM

One thing I noticed is that the governor will only arm above 20%, with my current setting I'm not getting the govenor to arm till above 34%?? My throttle ATV's are not 100-100, more like 85-100. would using a smaller arm help my arming issue with the govenor? I'm using a stator gator and RL-20 stator gator version.

Correct
The governor if gv-1 will arm at 20% or more. So first point should be 0, 2nd point should be 20 to get the governor to kick in.

Third point can be somewhere around 23 to 25, 4th point 27 to 33 depending on your link and 5th point 65% if full throttle climb no gain in rpms if governor off or 100% (ok too) if governor off head speed will accelerate at full power.

Idle up 1:

100, 33, 27, 33, 100

Idle up 2:

100, 37, 29, 37, 100.

Those are just examples and your numbers will vary depening on mixture, arm geometry, etc.

Just lately I have disabled the gov in normal mode, preferring to have more control of the acceleration especially with the first flight of the day (cold engine). Once at mid stick, I flip to idle up. This allows for a setting below 20% if needed.

Thx for the replies, I had the 1005SE out today but didn't fly it due to some issues on the tail hub. Ended up putting a number of flights on my Vibe50 and Aurora90 instead. I'm gone now for 3 weeks to work but will update the thread when I'm back...
