Trex 450 Need to know Head speed, and how many poles on the 450M motor
Okay, I'm setting up my Trex 450. It has the 450m 3500kv motor, it is fly barless, I am using 3 cell 2250 65c thunder power batteries. I believe it has a 10:1 main gear ratio.
What would be the ideal headspeed ( It has the FBL DFC head converted)
I am using the Phoenix 50 amp ICE ESC and 325 3G align Blades
I also have the Castle programmer
Any suggestions?
Thanks a million!

Ideal head speed depends on how you want to fly it? Beginners, 2800 extremely advanced 3d 3600. Average Joe mild 3d flyer will use 3100-3200.

Max governed head speed on that setup is around 3100 for the governor to work well.

Personally I don't like using governor on 450's and prefer WOT which would be around 3900 at the beginning of the flight and around 3700 at the end.
60% of the time, it works every time!
