Here's something of interest,

http://www.vrhc.co.uk/rc%20helicopt...e%20picture.jpg

http://www.vrhc.co.uk/rc%20helicopt...tle/Shuttle.htm

The chassis inside should be the same as other Shuttles of its vintage however. The rotor/flybar configuration tells me it's a Shuttle Pro chassis.

If your up to taking the fuselage off (nose) to show the guts, that would also help identify and match it to other Shuttles like the PRO model. They date all the way back to 1985, yours looks in excellent condition and showing pictures of all sides as well as close-ups will help, don't be shy.

Do you intend to put it in the air? Vintage fans would tell you, if you want to fly a heli, buy something current, reliable, and cheap like an Align 450, parts are cheap and plenty and it's an easy fix. Shuttle parts are rare, your heli looks like new, and the fuselage (nose and tail section) next to impossible to replace. Crashing that would be a shame.

Was it ever flown? How did it land in your hands? What do you plan to do with it?

The tx (hand set with the sticks) has a model number on it, referencing it to other ones like it should not be a problem.

Looks like it was flown, pic 3 with futaba on it is the gyro, the thing taped in foam in front of it is the receiver, and it likely matches the transmitter.

The body is fiberglass.

How did it land in your hands? What do you plan to do with it?

Clean it up and hang it for display. Don't try to fly that basket case.

Seeing your listed as a "New Heliman", CAN YOU FLY? If not then don't fly it. It's a sort of rare bear in as much as there aren't many left, especially in that condition. Also, once you crash it, it's done as parts are also a rarity. As someone else said, admire it, but fly something else.

Just my opinion.....

Oh yeah, and it's far from a basket case

Because the issue of him crashing it and being unable to find spares still remains. Personally, I'd rather keep it all original and clean it up for a historical display piece...or sell it... There's a healthy vintage heli market out there.

Your best bet is EBay..you will have a much larger audience, what you have may be gold in another mans eyes and will give you top dollar almost positive you will receive a fair price if not more. Option #2 mbarhsi seems to have taken an interest in your vintage heli and says it will make for a fine display model .Will be interesting to see if he helps along a fellow hobby mate ..And to addresse our thread troll Mbarhsi....WHAT ???Eye in the sky,

You might post in either the antique or out of production forum here on RR or in the Hirobo forum also on here. Being in the beginners forum I don't think will get you near the coverage or expertise for this type of info. I don't think everyone looks at this forum.

Just my $.02......
