Help and Guidence - VBar Silverline / 700N

I have a Vbar Silverline V5.2 and I'm a bit confused as to setting it up.
I'm putting it in a Trex 700N DFC with a YS120, JR8717's on Cylic and JR8900G on the tail. This has flow great with a Beastx and JR9303

Questions.
Satellites or JR Receiver
What Gov VBar or Align (fitted)if Vbar what sensor to use
Ball Distance
Updating to 5.3 and (Pro) How?

Looked all over the web and cannot get a handle on the best way forward.
I don't need a step by step, but some help as to where to look for info would be good.

Doing my first nitro with Vbar Silverline also, so I am interested in this thread. I'm going with the Futaba S bus on a Fury 55. Going to use Vbar governor with a spektrum backplate sensor.

Don't know the ball spacing on the servos yet. Using Align cyclics and Logitec tail.

For updating the Vbar to 5.3, G\go to the Ready Heli website and click on their flybarless tab. Then click on the Vbar tab and scroll down. There will be a link to the Stabi website that will have instructions how to purchase and update the software. To get the Vbar to update, you have to download and install the software first and then to use the software to update the firmware itself.Logo 700, Specter 700, Goblin 700, Trex 700DFC, Gaui X7, Logo 690SX, Logo 600SX; Trex 470 Trex 500

(1) Sats are fine but if you need any extra channels (for lighting and such) you may want to use a seperate rx.

(2) VBAR GOV is amazing, use it with a Spektrum backplate sensor, Futaba sensor, or magnets.

(3) 11.5 to 12.5 (ball to ball with the push/pull setup) should be good assuming you are using an Align head.

I'd go with sats for simplicity. Backplate will not work with the 1.20. Just use the Align sensor with wires swapped on the Vbar gov. Upgrade to 5.3 pro. Inner holes on the Align servo wheels and use the E version bell cranks and inner holes to increase resolution. You will be impressed!

Definately sats...hands down the best choice.
Unless you want to use a switchglow or similar extra benefit, then you'll need a separate receiver.

And, you don't really need the software upgrade. They say V-Bar flies just as good without it.
Unless you want to use the VBAR GOV...which is amazing BTW.

Hey.

If you are using a JR DSM2 transmitter, in order to run at 2048 resolution you will need to use a seperate receiver. If you have a DSMX capable set then you can set the Vbar to this protocol and still get the higher res using sats only.
I'm running a DSX12 and so run a seperate receiver in all my Vbar'd models for this very reason.

I went with the pro upgrade to get the bank switching option, this allows completely different setups of the Vbar to be linked to what flight mode you are in. Handy of you want this sort of flexability.
