You've almost reached your PayPal spending limit Just got this e-mail from PayPal:We wanted to let you know that you're just $812.75 USD away from hitting your initial PayPal sending limit of $10,000.00 USD. This is the maximum amount of money you can send or use for purchases before you need to become Verified. Why do I need to verify my account? We place initial limits on all accounts to increase security and help prevent fraud. Once you link and confirm a bank account or get approved for PayPal credit, your account will be Verified and you'll be able to make as many payments as you like with PayPal.My first reaction was it was wrong, but I have been a member for over 6 years so I guess it is possible. Anyway, does anyone know anyway around this? I do not want PayPal to have access to my bank account. I guess I could open an account just for PayPal but that is a painThanks |

I have a separate account that I use for all PayPal transactions. I don't use this account for anything other than online transactions. I keep a very minimal amount of money in it, just to keep it open and it's free. I transfer money as needed for purchases. I do it this way now because someone got my CC info online a couple years ago and drained my account of almost $5k. |

Are we talking about being verified as a buyer or seller? |

. I guess I could open an account just for PayPal but that is a pain the *best* and safest way I think. Separate bank even. Keep a low dollar amount in that bank account. |

zero payapl balance and low dollar in the associated bank account.I have a savings and checking account. The PP account is associated with the checking. I transfer purchase money to the checking account just before the purchase. Saving account has hobby money in it and nothing else. I don't keep a lot of money at that bank just because it's electronically associated with paypal. |

Use PayPal all the time. Really have no complaints with them. Do become verified. It's not hard and it's worth it. I immediately get cautious if someone is not verified. Too easy to set up an account and have it sent to some bogus address only to pick it up and say you never got it.Regards, Brandon Bartolomucci; Team Synergy; Team Scorpion; & Team Bavarian Demon; AMA# L939231 |

I don't want to give them my bank info because supposedly if someone disputes something you sell, PayPal can lock down your bank account. This is why you have to have a separate account. And yes I trust them with my credit card info because I can always dispute any problems with the credit card company. I guess I will just have to open another bank account |

I don't think they can actually do anything to your bank account... but they can lock down is your PP account and any money on there books.for money to be transferred from your bank you have to authorize each transaction.Build the Best, Fly the Best, Crash the Best |

If they were to tell me that crap, I'd tell them to stick the account!I see no reason other than for their benefit why I would have to be verified!Funny, but if enough people stood up to their nonsense, it would probably stop....If it ain't broke, go fly some more! http://facebook.com/groups/TORCHS/ |

Wait... I'm not a paypal wiz and this might be a legit email. But I wouldn't trust that email. You should go to the paypal site and click from there if you really want to get "verified". Not click on an email that might send you to a spoof site. I get fake paypal emails and "warnings" often and I barely use the service. |

Here's where mine is so they do impose limits if you don't provide certain info. Everybody wants everything for free. Paypal provides a service that they make a living off of. If it's a problem then I would suggest you don't use it.Wolves don't lose sleep over the opinions of sheep |
