Hi tec hs225 mg and trex 500
Hi guys Ive been biulding a trex 500 and was wondering if the 225 mg servo would be ok on the cyclic,Im looking for a good alturnative to the 510's and since the turnigy 930's have been on back order forever......I fly basic sport syle with some light 3d (loops, rolls and stall turns) Any feedback would be helpful...thanks

The 225 are wimpy for a heli. Not saying you will not get away with it. They are analog. Heli's flown at any skill level benefit from the precision of a decent digital servo. You can use the HS5245mg. I found them to be less durable than the 510mg servos. IMHO the 510mg overall is one of the best servos $$$ vs performance on a 500.

You asked a very good question. Each size of servos seems to have different manufactures that found the best combination. Hitec analog and digital are great on a 450, Aligns are not. In the 500 size it is the reverse.
