Does a big screen help you?
I just got a 63" projection tv specifically for flying my sim. I'm waiting on the dvi to HDMI cable to come in that I need to connect the two.

Im wondering how great your sim flying experience has been enhanced since you switched - or any at all, for those who went from small to big screen?

For me, with my older eyes, I'm expecting great things.

Your thoughts?

Seems to me that it must be better.
I went from a 15" laptop to a 22" desktop monitor and it was night and day difference.
I love the smell of nitro in the morning.

I don't think it is as a big difference as you may think. I went from a 24" monitor to 55" tv. On the 24" the screen was maybe 16" away on the 55" I stand about five feet back so it can still be a struggle to see the heli if you fly it very far away. It is still a lot nicer on the bigger screen just not as "lifelike" as I was hoping.

lol can only agree, that's one big screen.

Imagine it on the multiplayer with 6 or8 heli's going around

Have fun...

I don't think it helps any, but my kids sure love the 65" Mitsubishi DLP big screen.
I just use my 22 HD monitor.
The sim in the picture is the Reflex xtr with my son Marshall at the sticks.
We now fly on the Phoenix.

Phoenix on my 55" is much more like flying at our field for me.
My 13" Mac just doesn't seem as good.

I will say the 90 sized heli on the 65" tv is the same size as a real life 450.Fury 55 NIB Furion6 CGY750 fbl helicopter-Frenzy CGY750 fbl nitro-Frenzy fbl NOBAR90

Just hooked it up and its really cool and LARGE! I need to get Real Flight on the phone tho, got to get the settings right. Even when it was on my computer the grass was a blurry green. Its awesome that i have a wireless keyboard and mouse-I can do it all from the living room now.

Anybody have some preferred settings for the tv and/or the computer output settings?

Try 8'x5'. I don't know if it helps buts it's more fun!

For a projection TV try playing with the brightness and contrast to get a clearer picture.
