I want my QWW 50 Back!
Today I went up to QWW to drop off my Outdo V2 for a check up and a Pegasus .18 nitro for set up on my Hi-Tec Aurora 9. I also asked them if they have time to order the interface for doing firmware updates on my Hi-Tec RX and TX and if they had time to go ahead and due the updates.
Then I saw something wonderful! There, in the back of the shop, on the counter, was my 11 year-old Quick .50. I sold her to buy my Outdo V2 because I thought I was going to strictly fly electric from now on. Now I live my Outdo. It has more performance and quality than I have flight skills, but I missed the "gas and go" fly all day ability of the nitro. If that thing doesn't get sold soon, I might have to own it again.

Darn
Well I was too late. Someone bought the machine. Oh well. Now I will just save up and build a QWW octane.

Octane
I have to say that I love my Octane....or Quick gasser. I have had several different brands of nitro helis and a Quick 50 that I crashed so badly one day that it was a total loss. I've also had a Quick fly that I really enjoyed. I have always had a special love for the gasser though. I have had it for 6 years now and it has been through many crashes. The latest just last week and basically took out the mechanics from the back of the frame along with the usual main shaft, flybar, and believe it or not the main blade grip pitch arms....a first for me. I know I have said this before in previous posts, but I love the fact that parts are always in stock and get right out to me. I just sent Irwin and Jon an email with a list of all that was needed and 3 days later had all the parts in hand. That's one thing I love about helis.....you can always get them back to new out of the box shape. I just can't seem to do that with any plane crashes that I have had.
Gas is Great
Camper Fuel is Better!!
