Ronald Reagan was not afraid to let us know where he stood.

Maybe because he signed the bill making open loaded carry illegal in California.

Maybe because more than once he stated that he supported the Brady Bill.

Maybe because he tried to give amnesty to all illegal citizens as governor and as president.

Maybe because he slashed income taxes for the wealthiest Americans in an experiment known as "supply side" economics.

The list goes on and on.

Psycho,

You certainly blur the political lines with your ideas and postings. You are the epitomy of a political bipolar idealouge.

I don't recall anyone saying he was faultless.

You know, its obvious that are more and more irresponsible citizens who could not possibly recognize what a fine human being and a fine leader looks like, sounds like and will refuse to listen to his words of the facts of history and give a good ear to his warnings of repeating the same.
Maybe because he slashed income taxes for the wealthiest Americans in an experiment known as "supply side" economics.
And, it worked.

I'll be danged.

Gun control is a sticky issue here in this country. People do seem to lose sight of the fact that criminals will get their guns whether or not there are laws. You also WILL NOT find a politician that does EVERYTHING to YOUR liking.

I think Reagan was a good man in a tough time and he was willing to piss off a more than a few people if he thought it was the right thing to do for the majority. If we had leaders like that today, instead of working on their own agendas, we would still be a world leader in ALL aspects.

No need to, you guys do it every day. I am just sick and tired of everyone putting Saint Ronnie on a pedestal thinking he was so great for this country, when in fact he wasn't. He wasn't the worst and he was no where near the best. People liked him because he had a kind face and looked like a real nice guy, which he was, but he sucked as a politician.

What a contrast to what we have now.
Lincoln??? Get real. He was the start of the end. Obliviated states right, which is what we were founded on. That's why we're called the United STATES of America. States have zero power anymore. Just look at Arizona, Texas, Florida, New Mexico....add nauseatum.....
Do I agree with everything Reagan did?? Hell no. But you tell me if that wall came down without him...amongst a bunch of other stuuf he accomplished. Clinton did OK, mostly because of measures enacted by Reagan. In that light, we'll be feeling Obama's pain for decades.

And voted in place with a repub congress and senate that Clinton took credit for, by his won admission.

Thats just the nature of the beast.
