Night machine E or N?
I'm trying to decide if I should put my night gear on my electric or nitro? I've had gear on both and there's pros and cons to both. So what do you guys think?

Well I get 6 minutes on my Synergy E7 and have my night set-up on it. Looks great. On the other hand nitro fumes look great when it is colored by the night lights on the heli. Coming to think of it go nitro.Team Synergy, Rail blades, Team Scorpion, V-Team

Not everywhere and definitely not here.
We aren't all plagued with crybaby neighbors.lol...

Nitro night flyers look way cooler to me with the smoke colored in the lights.

I say e for the Night Machine.

It's hard enough to fly in the dark, never mind add the complexity of a Nitro.

Now if you already happen to know how to get good power out of a Nitro...WAY more cool. WAY!
Like night and day man...pardon the pun.

Couple hours.
It's only 10.2 acres.

1050 feet for speed runs though

@ mckrackin nice field!!

I think nitro is winning so far! I've heard of a couple night flys after ff that don't allow nitro! Has anyone else run across this?

Electric, reason is simple do a nitro and clean all the glo wire, the drivers, and all that see how long you keep the night gear on the nitro it's painfull process of time.

It's easy enough with a pinion to de tune an electric to get nitro power and flight times to.

My 600SE "electric" night rig at 1900 rpm goes 8.5 minutes On 4400mah packs with room to spare plenty enough for a night flight.

You guys have to remember that the nitro mess is only a bother if it bothers you.

Since the OP is flying both,I don't think he needs any lessons on nitro mess and clean up

Greed but saying a night machine adds to the time lit's of extra little bits on a night rig....Once upon a time there were Nitros, flybars and frequency pins...

Also agree but I have quit cleaning my nitro.lol...

When it crashes,I'll clean it up some to fix it but the mess isn't that bad at all....Especially since I finally started leaning it out for power.

My old free IR thermometer said my engine was running at 180-190 degrees and it seemed to run good.

I bought a new,and much better IR gun and my engine was running around 140 degrees so a few clicks here and there opened up all kinds of power...lengthened the flights and dramatically cleaned up the exhaust mess....and it's still only showing 185-190 degrees.

.....and then my radio puked...same day as my discovery.

Horizon now has my radio and I haven't taken the time to set up my borrowed radio and re-do my FBL set up.

Wonder if my models will still be in my radio when I get it back.....WOW...I digress....Carry on
