Raptor 90 conversion system Here's what we came up with; we made a plate that fits between the frames and bolts to the existing fan shroud. The drive system utilizes the raptors starter shaft and bearings. Steve turned a coupling to connect the motor to a 6mm shaft fitted through the bearing block. The whole system is adjustable for changing out pinions and gears (Simple and effective). I weighed all the parts removed such as motor, gas tank, clutch, throttle servo, muffler and governor. When compared it to the batteries and ESC I came out 1.3 lbs to the good. Also the batteries are movable to achieve CG. Works awesome!![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() http://www.totallyscrewedmachineshop.com/helis.html Steve says he can most likely manufacture the kit for those in need. |
