700 that share your 500 and 600 batteries
A couple of months ago I came across a topic in this forum on how to convert your Trex 700 into a light and powerful machine. Then I started to take mine apart and make the mod. I ended up with a machine that I love and every one else at my field loves. So I just want to share my setup for the guys that are moving from a Trex 500 or 600 size and want a 700 size that can use the battery pack that they already have on their 500 or 600 machine and still get about the same fly time. The video below is my machine that was flown by a buddy of mine at the club. He's doing hard 3D stuff, so I put the timer down for 3 minutes and 30 seconds, but for my flying(learning 3D and sport fly) I set it at 5 minutes and used around 75-80% of the packs.

The cheaper way to build this machine is to hunt for used parts(if you don't have a Trex 700 yet). This is what I used to build my machine

-Custom Heli part frame (P/N: CHP-T780J, use this if you use Futaba servos P/N: CHP-T780)

-Complete FBL DFC head(regular FBL head)

-Complete main, auto rotation gears, and one way hub

-Complete tail (from tail boom box to the back)

-Motor mount, pinion support, and two main bearing blocks

-Landing skids and skids pipe

That's all you need on the frame.( I might forget some stuff, but you should get the ideas). then just fit it with your electronics. Below is my setup.

Blue VBar
3-JR8717
1-JR8900
CC ice V2 120HV
CC BEC pro
Scorpion 4035-560KV(my extra stuff, you can use 500KV)
JRPVR5203 step down for the tail servo
Edge 693mm and 105mm
2-Gens Ace 3300mAh pack(my 600 packs, you can use up to 4000mAh pack but you will defeat the purpose of sharing your pack with other Heli)
CC govern at 1850 - 2050 - 2150RPM (5 minutes for my flying style)
