700E V3 Metal bands on links Are the metal bands around these links needed or can you use the 3GX replacement links with no bands.Lets just say I lost the metal bands this weekend....IT's what I do. |

I have been using the links with out the metal rings for a couple of cases of fuel, all is good:-)Raven |

Sheesh,
When are they going to realize how rediculously flawed this basic design is. Team POP Secret |

BobOD If over 100 flights on my own with the DFC system and no problems is a problem? You make me I think the system is just fine! Reported from others over 500 flights with no problems!I fail to see the problem you have with the design. Please tell me you have over 100 flights with the DFC head( I have not read of you flying it yet?) Just try it for at least 12 gallons of fuel and I bet your engineering mind will say "gees it should fail or make the heli go out of phase when pushed hard"...well it does not! Please try the system for a long good while on your own.I think you will be surprised at your findings ( I was )Don't knock it till you try it! It just works!!!! No problems.Cheers,

Plus the new dampers are extremely rigid and everything fits so tight in the head there is almost zero deflection anyways Xxtreme 800, TDR, 700E DFC, Mini Protos, T-450 DFC, Blade 130x, mcpx, nano |

Let's see, we are running undampened heads because dampening is not useful...or because the mechanics of the design don't allow for dampening? There were other ways to lower the head more than it should have been, there's no reason to compromise a design and create such an unwanted dependence. Just not good engineering. And, BTW, never look at how many flights people get. It's better to look at the rate of failures in the whole group. Which is probably why Align is adding things like re-enforcing rings on the ball links. Team POP Secret |

Let's see, we are running undampened heads because dampening is not useful...or because the mechanics of the design don't allow for dampening? I believe that's true: The new "hard dampening", the updated screws, the new swashes and metal rings say something about the design. All have been a direct response to the incidents some have had.And for the record, I REALLY like the V3, and I'm planning on getting one in the near future. But I have to be objective for the above facts though. |
