Nice one Phil,

Glad to be able to help out - after a few tail issues all now happily working.
Once you get your neck sorted out you can then start to enjoy the machine.

Very Nice,

Love the blade droop, in the static, are they painted ali blades ?

I love the Airwolf, was a big fan of the 80's series.
Nice machine you have there.

All the best in getting used to it, enjoy flying it.

Hi Matt,

The blades are normal Vario GRP.

It flies very well, but did have some issues with a very strange and weak tail to begin with.
It was also windy with occasional burst of even higher wind.

nice wolf you have there

the grp vario blades on my 47 droop well

Nigel
what was the cure to the tail problems?
as my 47g3 is still a little weak on the tail
it has the 47 tail shaft (and not the r22 one)
the tail runs the correct way now
but in wind the tail turning left is on the weak side
a yank n bank on the collective cures the straight line flying with left rudder applied in highish winds

Hi Dave,

Initial problem was a rubbing tail pushrod that was'nt helping getting the tail trimmed out.

Tail gyro is a Futaba GY701, which I have always found very solid. But this time I could only get the tail to feel good and locked when the gain was at 95% in normal and 65% in AVCS.

One of the problems is that it has a short arm on the servo, so it took a little time to get the correct numbers for the gain to work.

Normally I would be looking at around 70-75% gain and maybe 65% expo.

Thank you Stan it is the vario 2004 body fitted with jetcat PHT3 L mechanics, futaba BLS351 servos on cyclic, savox 1256mg on tail, the lighting system is from braincube very bright even in the sun could be seen from a great distance, vario blades 2360mm rotor span. the flight in the video is Modtron after he managed to get the tail to hold must say very impressed with the flight myself
