Wow!! Matt, that 'Longranger Blast' was FAB!
Really great setting with the trees plus an ultra smooth flight was
good enough for a film......you'll be working on the next Bond movie at this rate.

God how embarrassing is that video!!
The point of that little exercise with spinning the turbine was to show that it was not spinning freely enough due to slight flaw in the compressor retaining nut that would have been there from when the kit was new. A little bit of machine work and all was as it should be.
Next up was creating some fins on the horizontal stabiliser of Matts Longranger that are held on with magnets and locating pins.
Why?
Well, because 'Captain Hanger Rash' (Matt), whilst wrestling to get his heli in and out of the back of his car, keeps on knocking the tail off!, so now the fins just pop off instead,
One final little anecdote....
On the day of testing Matts Longranger a friend of mine who has a fullsize Agusta, wanted to see Matts machine in action, so I invited him over to watch. As soon as the engine started he backed off by 20 feet and by the time it was at full power he was off down the field like a shot, finally settling on 200 as a safe disance for him to be at, and it was just for a hover!

Hi Matt

So treating all the girls to your 'Belly Surfing' eh??

No sign of ther Fadec yet - I hope it's @ Wren being flashed with the MW54 profile!!

I had to make emergency mod to the LR over the weekend.. The +31 deg at the field on Saturday caused a 'bum puckering' shut down of the radio!! Tell you all about it later, but needless to say I have another fan now!!

All is fine and I even put money on the lottery that eve but wasn''t so lucky there!

Enjoy your hols.
