With you standing behind the heli with the tail pointing at you and nose pointing away from you(called "tail in" the heli will start to slide to the left when it gets light on the skids before takeoff. This is caused by the rotational force of the blades and is normal. You counter this with a TOUCH of RIGHT cyclic (RIGHT STICK).

With the heli in this same position, when you move the RIGHT STICK to the left, the Swash Plate should tilt left. Move same stick to the right, the swash should tilt right. Forward results forward tilt, backwards (twords you) the swash tilts backwards. If they tilt the opposite way than they are supposed to, you can go in your radio settings and Reverse them.

On the LEFT STICK when you push up, the swash plate should slide UP. And vice versa.

I can't think of a reason why it would be correct on the ground but reversed when it starts spooling up. I think you may just be confused on what way things are supposed to tilt. If you have an iPhone you can take video of this and post it so we can see exactly what's going on.

If the swash is moving correctly by the heli moves the other way maybe the pitch is backwards. I mean if the swash tilts to the left so that the right side is higher, the pitch should be greater on the right side. I know it is pretty far fetched but it was all could come up with.

I tried to start engine and it was locked up. Pulled plug and still locked up. Thought engine was junk so pulled it out. Got engine out and clutch was in two pieces. Engine was fine. Waiting on parts now.Learning to fly again.

As you have motor issues now is a good time to check all actions with inputs. Check the swash action separate inputs. Mind the throttle action as well. Check acitons of ail and elev inputs at half throttle. Should give you an idea of where the problem lies.I wish I still flew!!!
