Still no 3rd bearing Main shaft?? Also why no direct to swash setup? The only differences I see are narrower frames as seen by the clutch cut out and redesigned bearing blocks and front tray... Is this version at least lighter enough to warrant buying tis over the original ?

Looks like it finally has a one piece engine mount. On the negative side the frames above the front landing gear mount looks more narrow than the current 700n.

yeah..the V3N and also the 800 are less than inspiring.

Leads me to wonder if changing the frame width on these two helis is intended to cutoff moding/upgrading just by buying new stock parts and force people to buy entire kits? It really strikes me that the only way to get the new 23mm boom is to get the new 800...with narrower frames there is no way to put that tail assembly on any other Align heli. With the new V3 having a new frame width there is very little parts compatibility with any older 700 N or 700 E anymore.

If this is the real V-3 nitro, WOW what a disappointment no real improvement over the current Trex 700N and is no way worth the upgrade.Ugly can be fixed stupid is forever!

Not true.

1) bigger tank (look like no more middle cork)
2) Motor mounts with heat sinks
3) All the nice upgrades like DFC head & swash, new tail.
4) longer front tray

thats true knightofcarnage.

now that I go back and look at it again, other than being direct swash drive, this heli has a lot of improvements. will wait and see when it comes out. Will there be a model of this on display at IRCHA?

Already have a all the DFC upgrades, the current fuel tank is fine and I have had no issues with needing heat skinks so for me it’s not worth the upgrade. I am sure many 700N fans including myself see this as “not worth the upgrade”. Align has had years to improve this heli and this is what they give as a V3? They have lost it.Ugly can be fixed stupid is forever!
