I bought the newer main shaft for my Velocity 90. The first one had the Jesus bolt hole drilled out to big and that caused play in the main shaft. I'm just wondering if that's not the case here to? Any way's in my search to find a solution as it still has around 1MM up/down play in the main shaft. I'm looking for a Jesus bold that has a thicker shoulder to help take out the last bit of little play in the main shaft. I was also thinking about trying to waller out the bottom bearing block mounting holes a bit to see if I could then slide it up just a tad more. IDK I'm really leaning for the larger shoulder bolt solving my problem. I haven't found it yet but I will be having time to do so in the next few days!

Not sure about the 90 but on the V50 the problem is that the holes in the sideframe for the screws that hold the lower bearing block are slotted to allow you to adjust the play in the main shaft. But over time the bearing block creeps downs cause vertical play in the main sharft. There are a couple of ways to remedy this. The easiest was is put a collar on the main shaft just above the top bearing.

I see the Velocity 90 is the same way. You have to loosen the lower bearing block then push it up as hard as you can then tighten it down to get all the up/down play out of the head. The only problem I see with the collar is that, say like my Velocity 90 I put KDE thrusted bearing blocks in it. So if I put a collar under the top bearing block it really defeats my thrusted bearing blocks. Right?

I know this may seem remedial but I found slop in the head and realized that I had the bearing blocks in upside down.

The instructions are not clear on this. Maybe just me.

I flipped the blocks (both in my case) and was able to remove the play completely.
