They lack the power of a regular bearing but if changing a bearing aint your thang then they are worth it.60% of the time, it works every time!

I've never seen a difference in thousands of flights in terms of power output.

Mine makes at least as much power as a stock bearing, and noticeably more power compared to an engine with a bearing that is on its way out. Always idles smoother and starts better than any of my engines with bearings, new or old.Enjoy things that money can buy IF you don't lose the things money can't buy.

It's subtle. Most won't notice. Brass bushes just have more friction than regular bearings, fact.60% of the time, it works every time!

My OS 91 has now a couple of years with the center-glide. In the beginning I thought it may had a tad less power but this changes with atmospheric conditions more than anything else.

What I love about it is that is almost maintenance free, and the engine is been very consistent running, more so that is ever been with STD bearings.

I have a TT 53 and a modified OS50 hyper that I fly about a few times a year, their next rear bearing will be a center-glide.

Brass, really? Please don't denigrate all the man hours that it took to formulate, test and implement something that no one else even considered for our hobby out of a material that only relates to brass in color. This formulation is only used in very few applications in the world. Besides, if the system is running correctly the crankshaft runs in a pressurized film of oil. This is the preferred type of bearing for most high rpm, high performance racing engines. As testified in this thread it has solved a major issue with bearing rust. That is worth a lot just by itself.

DUH,
I forgot to mention that, is been a while since I talked to Buzz, who is quite an authority in engines. If this bearing was at not least as good or better that the stock ball bearings he would have not done it.
