Yes in fact the 610 blades are what we settled on for ours. The 640 run time was bad it was hard on the electronics.

The 600 size blades were a big improvement over all...

If you are sport flying the 640 are ok as it feels a bit lighter and you can come off some head speed.

The tail gearing is not good or low. They planned for high head speed. so you need a high head speed for the tail to hold so the 600 fit the bill there too !

I slotted the frames to move the tail closer to the main and run the nitro tail ratio myself. Extra tail power was well worth the mod.

I prefer the 640's myself, mainly because I enjoy spending a lot of time doing auto's and high speed precision stuff, vs stick banging on the deck.

I have not had any tail hold problems on my E640, but that may be due to the 2200rpm I run (on both the E640 and my N640). Remember that the mass of your main rotor contributes to the tail hold ability.

I did not notice the N640 uses a different ratio, I assumed it had the same gearing, i'm going to have to look at them both closely now!

Yes the nitro N640 has the 4.57-1 tail ration and the E640 has the 4.0-1 ratio. When I did my E640 stretch and first flew it with the lower headspeeds I had to be careful with backwards stuff as I could blow the tail out . I then started looking and realized the gasser spur gear was a different tooth count and calculated the ratio and the tailspeed out .This would fix my problems, so I slotted the frames and was testing it out the next day with a giant smile on my face. 1650 and 1760 with 105mm RT tailblades and I have yet to blow out the tail with 660 and 690 mainblades and about 150 flights so far. I can get out of shape in fast backwards stuff and it will pull right back in. At 9.45 pounds ready to fly it is a fun heli and I get 6.5 minutes on 3300 12s packs. Low headspeed is not for everyone but I sure like it on this heli !Logo 550SX / Logo 600 / Oxy 3 TE
