All of the CAD work is done and proven on my 3D printer so now it is with the CNC guy to make a couple of prototype units to go into models. I should get them back next week and the first will go into a Marvelcraft 407 as a flying test bed. I still have to work out how I can use the Goblin tail rotor system with these mechanics.

here's some pix of a typical setup

I was considering this but the servos stick out 70mm I think on one side , so I'm wondering which scale body might work , I would like a jet ranger, so I gave up.

Talk to Joe Howard about a scale ranger body. He is assembling one of these sets of mechanics in a Ranger right now.

I bought this fuse already assembled and put my mechanics set in there and it flew so very nicely.

That is until something in the tail control system gave out after about 10 minutes flight time (nothing to do with my conversion) and it started in a spin 2 feet off the ground flying very slowly just as I was coming in to land. I dumped it but the place I dumped it was not level, a blade caught the ground and it exploded.

The mechanics are fine except new push rods needed. Blades need replacing and the fuse will repair with some new glass up the front.

How much of the anti rotation pin is left in the guide when the swashplate is tilted fully forwards?

Repairs are well under way and it should be flying again this weekend. The delay is caused by the fat that 24 hr epoxy is needed to ensure maximum strength in areas which need it to prevent this happening again, and it means gluing something. leaving it until next day and then gluing some thing else. It all takes time but I dont want to have to do it again.

When the swash is tipped fully forward, there is about 2-3 mm of the pin sticking out of the back of the anti rotation bracket.
